Roxanne Perez’s rise in WWE NXT has been nothing short of impressive.

Since dethroning former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose on the December 13, 2022, episode of NXT, Perez has established herself as a force to be reckoned with. The 22-year-old Superstar has excelled in both babyface and heel roles, and it’s only a matter of time before she jumps to WWE’s main roster.

On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray explained why Roxanne’s move to the WWE main roster could be “disastrous.”

Ray said, “As far as Roxanne Perez moving on [to the main roster], I don’t know … Unless there is a definitive plan, it can be disastrous. Sometimes you only get that one shot to make that first impression on the main roster … Do I think she’s ready? I don’t think it’s going to hurt her to hang out in ‘NXT’ for a little bit longer. I would rather see her sit there, continue to get comfortable in the ring, to improve in her psychology, her promos, her character.”

As the reigning NXT Women’s Champion, Perez has defended her title against several challengers, including Natalya, Chelsea Green, and Jordynne Grace.
