We reported last week here on eWn that AJ Styles was set to return to WWE SmackDown. As you know by now, that didn’t end up happening. Pwinsider is reporting that Styles was not backstage at the show but is still expected to return before Bash in Berlin on August 31.

The reason Styles didn’t appear last Friday was that the creative plans were locked in and it was decided that it wasn’t the right time.

In other news, Zelina Vega took to Twitter today to thank her fans for their support. She wrote,

“I know I say it a lot but just know, I really appreciate y’all. I often think of that 9yr old girl going to MSG w/ my dad to watch and now I take him in the ring with me, sung out by the most incredible fans in the world. Thank you all for believing in me. I won’t let you down.”
