As we reported on Friday night here on eWn, Sasha Banks and Naomi have been suspended indefinitely from WWE and they’ve been stripped of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. A tournament will now be held in the coming weeks to crown new champions.
Additionally, the WWEShop.com website has removed both of their merchandise sections. As of this writing, all of Banks and Naomi’s merchandise have been pulled from the site so there are no longer any royalties coming in for either of them. The sections for both Superstars have been completely removed and searching for either name comes up with “no results”.
While the two women are still listed on the WWE.com roster and are currently listed as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, that will soon be changing.
Both Sasha Banks and Naomi’s WWE contracts will be expiring in several months.
As of this writing, there is no word on whether WWE will put a “freeze” on their contracts until they fulfil their commitments.
