AEW’s Adam Cole Praised As The “Second Coming Of Shawn Michaels”

AEW star Adam Cole has been praised as the next Shawn Michaels by one of the names signed to the promotion.

Cole joined AEW in September 2021, mere days after his short-term contract with WWE NXT expired.

Cole’s initial deal with WWE had expired in July, but the Undisputed Era alum agreed to a short-term deal that saw him compete

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, AEW’s Kaun praised Cole, comparing the former NXT Champion to Shawn Michaels:

“He [Adam Cole] is super talented and a really nice guy. He actually, like, wrestled at the school that i started like he was in the Shamrock Club at Maryland Championship Wrestling… He’s a phenomenal megastar. I learned a lot that day… um yeah definitely the second coming of Shawn Michaels. If anything he’s the first Adam Cole right, like he’s the, the ‘Bay Bay.”

Cole competed on this week’s Dynamite, defeating Jeff Hardy to advance in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament.

He will compete in the finals against either Samoa Joe or Kyle O’Reilly at Double or Nothing 2022.
