TNA Issues Statement On Eric Young’s Departure

Former two-time TNA World Champion Eric Young has officially parted ways with TNA Wrestling, and the promotion has now confirmed his departure with a public statement.

After reports surfaced earlier that Young and TNA had mutually agreed to end their relationship, the company made the news official by issuing the following announcement,

“TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Eric Young, effective immediately. EY has had a legendary TNA career, including twice as TNA World Champion. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Young leaves TNA after another notable run with the promotion, where he cemented his legacy as one of the company’s most recognizable stars. His departure adds to a growing list of recent exits from TNA, including former Knockouts and World Champion Tessa Blanchard, who also left the company last month.

Meanwhile, speculation has already begun regarding Young’s next destination. There is a belief within WWE that the door is open for the veteran performer to return to the company. The report notes that WWE sources expect Young to rejoin the promotion, although it remains unclear whether he would return as an in-ring competitor, a producer, or in another backstage capacity.

For now, neither Young nor WWE has publicly commented on the reports, but TNA has officially closed the chapter on another decorated run by one of the promotion’s most accomplished veterans.
