Who Will Win At AEW All In: Texas? Predictions | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Almost done with the pay-per-view predictions QOTD gauntlet, but we’ve got a big one coming up with All Elite Wrestling’s All In: Texas event, which is arguably the real star of the weekend.

My question for you today is “What are your predictions for AEW All In 2025?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Zero Hour Pre-Show Matches

The collection of babyfaces that are teaming with “Big Boom” AJ will win because that’s just a weird fascination that I do not understand. I don’t find those people funny at all, but they’re popular, for whatever reason.

FTR beats The Outrunners. I don’t have much to say.

Trios Match for the AEW World Trios Championship: The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Samoa Joe) (c) vs. The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta) and Gabe Kidd

I think The Opps are working well as a unit, and Gabe Kidd’s involvement here spells how that team won’t win, along with how reverting back to The Death Riders for the trios titles is a step backward. This should be good, though. I think Joe beats Castagnoli, for an extra prediction.

Tag Team Match: Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay vs. The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson)

I cannot imagine Tony Khan wants to book a scenario where he cannot have two of his top babyfaces fight for the world title for 12 months. The company did stick to Cody Rhodes saying he wouldn’t fight for the world title ever again, so it’s not like they’ve reneged on that before, but I think if that’s remotely being entertained, it’s being thought of as something flexible where they would plan on undoing it.

It’s overall just more interesting if The Young Bucks lose, too. Instead of stopping matches from being able to take place, it stops a storyline that has grown far too stale. The Young Bucks don’t need the EVP powers to still have influence and to still feud with people, too.

Ospreay and Strickland win this. I’ll be surprised if the alternative happens, and I’ll be immediately thinking of how AEW plans to circumvent that—as in, do they just plan on having these guys fight for the Unified Championship to try to make that a bigger deal, or will there be another match to retcon this stipulation? Keep it simple. Give the win to Ospreay and Strickland.

Singles Match for the AEW TNT Championship: Adam Cole (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher

I’m all for changing the championship here. This belt seems a bit cursed, to be honest. Adam Cole’s not doing anything interesting with it, and Daniel Garcia wasn’t before him, either. I don’t necessarily think giving it to Kyle Fletcher will solve all the problems, but he’s a damn good performer, could use the belt to propel himself to a higher level, and I see no reason why he shouldn’t be the next in line. Title changes on this important show are a good idea, too.

Three-Way Tag Team Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) (c) vs. JetSpeed (Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey) vs. The Patriarchy (Christian Cage and Nick Wayne)

This is a title change I’m 50/50 on. I don’t think The Patriarchy are winning this, but it’s entirely possible. JetSpeed, though, are more so the team that I’m looking at, and I think there’s a major chance they win the belts by pinning Christian Cage or Nick Wayne. That way, The Hurt Syndicate doesn’t look weak, but they still drop the belts.

Of course, it’s entirely plausible The Hurt Syndicate just retain, and this Triple Threat wasn’t set up to take the titles off them, but just to get some more names on the card. I could be reading it wrong. But for now, I’m going to say Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight win.

Winner Takes All Match for the AEW Unified Championship: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs Kenny Omega (c)

Too much has been put out there about Konosuke Takeshita teasing a feud with Kazuchika Okada for me to ignore that and to pick Kenny Omega. Theoretically, if any of this is supposed to be believable, Omega should go down in 2 seconds after one punch to the stomach, right? That’s what he’s been doing outside of matches. But of course, that logic will be ignored for the betterment of a standard match between these two. It’ll be great, and I think Okada gets the win, by hook or by crook.

Singles Match for the AEW Women’s World Championship: “Timeless” Toni Storm (c) vs Mercedes Moné

Why would I ever pick for Mercedes Mone to lose here when she wins absolutely everything?

I’d go so far as to say when they first signed her, they probably had this specifically in mind with the title change and just having her walk in as the TBS champion at the same time, too.

Mercedes wins. Storm’s had her runs and it’s been long enough, and Tony Khan wants to put all his eggs in the Mercedes basket. I’ll be utterly shocked if Storm retains.

Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match

Since I’m expecting Mercedes to win the title, I think a babyface is going to come out on top of this. Athena is looking like my top contender, which is interesting since that would mean all Tony Khan wants to do is book all the belts on the same few people and can’t or just won’t spread the wealth. But I could very well see a scenario where this is almost a throwaway, wherein someone else wins the gauntlet just to lose to Mercedes, like Kris Statlander or Willow Nightingale. I’m picking Athena, for the record, but it would be more interesting to me if there’s a surprise signing.

Texas Death Match for the AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs “Hangman” Adam Page

This is going to be the top match to watch this weekend, I feel. It’s a shame those reports came out that Tony Khan hadn’t decided on the winner of the Owen Hart Cup until the last minute, as I would have then thought maybe Page had a chance. Now, I just assume Hangman is here to put up a great fight and get very close, only to fall victim to the numbers game. Moxley retains, people boo, but…

Men’s Casino Gauntlet Match

Maybe it’s too obvious to go in this direction and to spoil the main event, but I’m predicting Darby Allin will make an appearance here and win the match, setting up that he will be the guy to beat Jon Moxley for the title. I’ll admit, I’m second-guessing myself a bit after realizing that Forbidden Door is next on August 24th and All Out doesn’t happen until September 20th, so Allin could come back at another point in the meantime instead, and the winner of the gauntlet can just be the same situation as the Mercedes setup, where it’s just some guy to lose overall. And maybe there’s a talent from CMLL or New Japan who can come in, win this, and challenge Moxley at Forbidden Door that I’m blanking on. Hell, for all I know, this goes to Hiroshi Tanahashi. I doubt it, and I’m still picking Darby Allin for the record, but I’m not as confident about that prediction as I thought I would be even a few days ago.
