Which Of This Weekend’s 5 PPVs Are You Most Excited For? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

This weekend is jam-packed with pay-per-views as ROH Supercard of Honor runs opposite Friday Night SmackDown, Saturday hosts NXT Great American Bash, WWE Satuday Night’s Main Event and AEW All In, and on Sunday, WWE Evolution II takes place.

If you’re not someone like myself, who will be doing live coverage for every show and watching them all at the same time (ugh), you might be in a position where you’re choosing one over another, or maybe even just one for the entire weekend. Even if you’re still watching them all, there is probably one more than the others that you think has the most potential to be fun.

My question for you today is “Which of these shows are you the most excited to see?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

I’ll make no qualms about having zero interest in watching ROH Supercard of Honor. To be perfectly honest, those shows tend to be exactly what I don’t like in an AEW show, where it’s just a series of the same moves and I feel like I’m watching nothing but a stunt show for 5+ hours. None of the matches feel different and there isn’t much storytelling in the ring for my personal tastes. Konosuke Takeshita against Bandido should be pretty damn good, though.

But then, you have matches like the ones at Saturday Night’s Main Event, which do have more stories, but I’m just not that interested in seeing something that could just be the main event of Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown. As great as Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and Seth Rollins are, I do find myself feeling like those aren’t “must-see” segments. And I have no faith in Goldberg.

NXT Great American Bash doesn’t have the best card for me, either, and I’d probably put it on an even level with SNME. Yoshiki Inamura against Oba Femi? The tag team match? Feels like NXT, just the same.

So it’s really down to me between Evolution and All In. But really, Evolution is a DISTANT two. As much as there are some things on that card I’m definitely interested in, and I love a battle royal 9 times out of 10, when you look at that against All In, it’s just not winning. Seeing Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky will be as good as they always do, but how great is Kazuchika Okada versus Kenny Omega going to be, most likely? There’s nothing Jade Cargill and Naomi will do in their No DQ match that will exceed what Jon Moxley and “Hangman” Adam Page do in their Texas Death match. There are more stakes and it’s just an overall better card.
