Next week on NXT (June 3, 2025), the TNA World Championship will be on the line as announced by Santino Marella.
Trick Williams cut a promo in the ring about winning the title at WWE Battleground, taking some shots at not only Joe Hendry, but the crowd in attendance for not supporting him, and even went so far as to badmouth TNA as a whole, saying none of their previous champions compare to him and TNA should be TrickNA going forward.

He was interrupted by Mike Santana, who had said at Battleground that he was going to be coming for the title next. Santana put out a challenge for Trick, and Santino appeared on the TitanTron to say that he had already spoken to Ava, and made a title match for next week official.
