Billy Jack Haynes Is Facing Very Serious Accusations In Elder Abuse Lawsuit

Former professional wrestler William “Billy Jack” Haynes, who is already facing a second-degree murder charge in connection with the February 2024 death of his 85-year-old wife, Janette Becraft, has now been named in a $750,000 elder abuse lawsuit filed by her estate.

The civil suit, filed on May 22, 2025, in Multnomah County and reported by FOX 12 Oregon, accuses the 71-year-old of subjecting Becraft to five years of severe abuse. It alleges that the “vulnerable and disabled” woman was mentally, physically, and financially exploited by Haynes. According to the complaint, Haynes isolated Becraft from her family, coerced her into liquidating her retirement savings, and introduced her to heroin and methamphetamine.

The lawsuit further asserts that Haynes forced Becraft to purchase a firearm, which he could not legally obtain due to his criminal record, and compelled her to marry him in 2021.

Haynes was recently found unfit to stand trial in the ongoing criminal proceedings.
