‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin once rejected a storyline idea that would have seen him become the stalker of The Undertaker’s then-wife Sara.
In 2001, Diamond Dallas Page made his WWE debut by being revealed as the stalker, after sharing candid videos of Sara Calaway.
While speaking with Give Me Sport, DDP revealed that WWE initially pitched the stalker character to the Texas Rattlesnake.
“They wanted [Steve] Austin to do it. And Austin is like, ‘F*ck that!’ And he told me about that later and I was like. ‘You couldn’t have called me up and said that to me?”
Instead of being the stalker, Austin would continue a heel turn that began at WrestleMania X-Seven.
