WWE star Shelton Benjamin is dealing with an undisclosed injury and will be out of action.
The Gold Standard revealed the news today on Twitter, where he reminded fans that it is only the second time in 22 years that he’s ever had an injury setback. He does promise to work hard and return to the ring as soon as possible, adding that he’ll even be better than he was before.
“For only the second time In my career An injury has put me on the shelf. I’ll be back soon. In the meantime I will be putting in the work to come back better than I was before my little setback. See you guys soon!”
Benjamin’s last match was on the April 25th episode of Main Event. On that show he teamed with his Hurt Business tag partner Cedric Alexander to battle the Street Profits in a losing effort. Check out the former tag, Intercontinental, and U.S. champion’s tweet below.
