Sami Zayn is the Undisputed WWE Champion for the second time in his professional wrestling career, and he has joined an exclusive club in the process.

Zayn regained the title from CM Punk during the September 11, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown. He’d lost the title to Punk earlier this year.

With this victory, Zayn is the fourth WWE Superstar to win a WWE World Championship outside of the United States more than once.

John Cena won two of his 17 World Titles in Canada, while Brock Lesnar won the WWE Title and Universal Title at different events in Saudi Arabia.

Seth Rollins regained the Universal Title at SummerSlam 2019 in Canada and won the World Heavyweight Title in 2023 in Saudi Arabia.

Now, Zayn has joined the elite list, as his previous title win was in Saudi Arabia while this week’s victory has taken place in Mexico.
