WWE CEO Nick Khan has weighed in on the differences between his position and Vince McMahon’s tenure in the role.
Following McMahon’s retirement in July 2022, Khan was made co-CEO with Stephanie McMahon, and became sole CEO following Stephanie’s resignation this month.
Discussing his role as CEO on the Bill Simmons podcast, Khan said that Vince McMahon’s position as founder makes him a much different kind of leader.
“I think founder CEOs are different from regular CEOs. Consider me for this moment in time, a regular CEO. But there’s something about the founder CEO that sees the vision, sees the future, and can get there a moment in time before others can, and then everyone else catches up.”
McMahon has returned to WWE to oversee a sale of the promotion and is currently serving as Executive Chairman.
McMahon returned this month alongside former co-Presidents Michelle Wilson and George Barrios, who Khan replaced in 2020.
