CONTRA Unit’s Minoru Suzuki & Ikuro Kwon have become the new MLW Tag Team Champions after emerging victorious at MLW Summer Of The Beasts.
Suzuki and Kwon won the titles by defeating Okumura and Satoshi Kojima in a match that took place on Thursday’s show, which was streamed live on YouTube.
During the match, Kwon utilized mist to strike Okumura in the face, after which Suzuki executed the Gotch Piledriver to secure the pinfall.
Following the match, Krule and Janai Kai assaulted Kojima, with Krule then posing with the MLW World Championship.
This victory marks Suzuki and Kwon’s inaugural reign as titleholders and concludes CozyMax’s 111-day tenure. CozyMax won the vacant titles at Azteca Lucha on May 11.

The MLW Opera Cup semifinal matchups are now official after Thursday’s Summer Of The Beasts event.
TJP, Bad Dude Tito, KENTA, and Mistico all progressed in the tournament during the August 29th show. They each defeated Tom Lawlor, Alex Kane, Akira, and Atlantis Jr. in the quarterfinals to advance to the semis.
