How Would You Book Tiffany Stratton’s MITB Cash-in? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day—with this one focusing on last weekend’s WWE Money in the Bank 2024 premium live event. More specifically, this revolves around The Center of the Universe herself, and the new Ms. Money in the Bank, Tiffany Stratton.

Every single woman who has held a MITB briefcase has successfully cashed in. Most of them have done so within less than a 24 hour period, strangely enough. Now, all eyes are on Stratton as she is the latest female WWE Superstar to wield the briefcase.

My question for you today is “How would you book Tiffany Stratton’s Money in the Bank run?”

As far as my answer…

I’m going super simple here. Stratton should cash in at SummerSlam and beat Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Bayley’s going up against Queen Nia Jax. That match is going to be such a dud if it’s just Bayley retaining and that’s it. Equally, I think fans will be overall upset if Jax wins the title. She’s been doing better work during this run, but I don’t think there’s much of a groundswell of support to see her as the top champion on SmackDown. She has the Queen of the Ring crown. That’s good enough.

Considering WWE’s track record of not wanting women to hold onto the briefcase too long, I don’t think we’re looking at Stratton keeping this for months on end, going into WrestleMania still with the briefcase. Plus, I don’t know who I’d really book to beat Bayley for the title if not Stratton.

Maybe Jade Cargill turns heel soon enough, feuds with Bianca Belair, and beats Bayley. Then, that would open up the door for a match against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41. But I’m working under the assumption it’s the other way around: Cargill wins the Royal Rumble and challenges champion Flair, instead.

To get to that, I think we should see Stratton beat Bayley, hold the title for a little while, and drop it to Flair. That feud should take place around Survivor Series time, allowing some breathing room for The Queen to be champion come Royal Rumble.

Stratton doesn’t need to have a long title reign, but she shouldn’t fail her cash-in, either. I think this would be the best of all worlds, with Jax squashing Bayley after losing, and Stratton picking up the pieces with her title opportunity immediately after.
