The legendary Rougeau family will receive a special tribute when AEW brings Redemption to Montreal later this month.
During a recent interview with Bill Apter, WWE Hall of Famer Jacques Rougeau revealed that AEW reached out to him and his brother, Raymond Rougeau, to invite them to the July 26 pay-per-view event at the Bell Centre, where the promotion plans to recognize the family’s four-generation legacy in professional wrestling. He said,
“AEW is coming to do a pay-per-view on July 26 in Montreal. QT called me up and asked me if Raymond and I would like to go to the Bell Centre and he says they would like to honor the Rougeau family, the four generations. They are going to have something. I don’t know what they’re going to have, but they’re going to have something on a video or something. After that, they’re going to introduce me and Raymond to the Montreal fans. I’ve had a few sleepless nights because I’m so excited.”
The Rougeau family has long been regarded as one of Canada’s most influential wrestling dynasties, with four generations leaving their mark on the industry. Jacques and Raymond Rougeau enjoyed successful careers as a tag team and captured the Canadian International Tag Team Championships multiple times before both went on to achieve international recognition.
AEW Redemption 2026 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 26, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, where the special tribute to the Rougeau family will be held in front of their hometown fans.
