AEW Road Rager Predictions & Monday Morning Q&A

Welcome back to another Monday Morning Q&A where I toss out some questions to get a feel of how you guys and gals are feeling about certain topics.

So here are 5 questions I’d like to toss out for this week. I’ll give my answers, too, but the key here is that I want to know what YOU think! So make sure you chime in!

1) Who is getting their head shaved after the Hair vs Hair match, Chris Jericho or Ortiz?

The more interesting scenario would definitely be Jericho. I’d like to think that is what will happen. He’s always looking for ways to freshen up his look and gimmick, so why not?

However, as far as an actual prediction goes, I’m just assuming it is Ortiz. There’s more heat to The Jericho Appreciation Society holding down Ortiz and shaving his head and looking like assholes than the babyfaces somehow getting that revenge on Jericho, rather than winning Blood and Guts.

2) Will The Hardys, Jurassic Express or The Young Bucks walk out with the AEW World Tag Team Championship after that three-way ladder match?

I’m starting to think the belts are changing hands. Jurassic Express keeps getting booked in three-ways, which is interesting. Is there a reason for that, or just coincidence? Does Tony Khan not think Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus are able to hold the interest by themselves and needs to add a third team to balance out the equation? If so, wouldn’t it be time for new champions?

My gut is telling me The Young Bucks, so they can go into Forbidden Door with titles. I have no idea why that’s standing out to me.

3) Between Ethan Page and Miro, who will qualify for the spot in the All-Atlantic Championship match, and why is it Miro?

As I’ve phrased the question, obviously, Miro is the choice here. While it would be interesting for Page to hold a title while Scorpio Sky is champion, once that initial “Hm” happens, that’s all I think you can get out of that. If Page is going to go into the four-way, he’s clearly not going to win it. So why not put in Miro, who would instantly become one of the favorites?

4) What are your thoughts on Edge being kicked out of Judgment Day in favor of Finn Balor?

While there are flaws to it (such as questioning why Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley would kick out their leader and side with the guy he pinned), I’m intrigued. I wasn’t actually a big fan of this faction and thought it had more potential than what I was seeing. The promos weren’t doing much for me. So now that they might go in a more supernatural direction, maybe that’ll be better. Then again, maybe that will be absolutely ridiculous and not only ruin the group even more, but hurt all three of their careers, too. It’s a gamble.

5) Between the Riddle vs. Roman Reigns title match, Maxi Dupri revealing his first client for Maximum Male Models, the Last Laugh Match between Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin, and the questionable follow-up of the Money in the Bank qualifying match between Sheamus and Drew McIntyre, what has you more interested for SmackDown this week?

To be honest, the Maxi Dupri situation is what I’m most intrigued by. Isn’t that strange?

Riddle versus Reigns should have been booked for Money in the Bank. I know WWE just wants to put it on Fox to help bump a rating, and Fox doesn’t care about not having big matches on pay-per-view because they get nothing out of the Peacock situation, but it just lowers its value in my mind. Riddle wasn’t going to win by any means, but on television, I just know there will be even more of a chance it just ends in some sort of lame interference.

They haven’t even said what the Last Laugh Match is. I’m starting to think it’s just a regular match and that’s why they haven’t clarified a gimmick. That’s incredibly lame, if that’s the case. Wasn’t the last match a good enough ending, too?

Sheamus and Drew McIntyre…meh. They’re just dragging that out for the sake of killing time.

But when it comes to Max Dupri, we’ll either get a new Superstar, someone called up from NXT, or a repackaging of someone (like Mace/Face or Mansoor). All of those situations mean something new, so I’m down for freshening things up more than anything else.
