AEW Dynasty 2025 Highlights & Low Points? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

With AEW Dynasty in the bag, it’s time to reflect upon the pay-per-view and talk about what we liked, didn’t like, and so on. Basically, what were the biggest pros and cons of the event?

My question for you today is “What were your highs and lows from AEW Dynasty 2025?”

As far as my answer…

Downsides to me for AEW events almost always boil down to matches that have no real story or purpose to them that feature talent I’m not interested in watching just do a series of maneuvers. After all, AEW tends to focus more on pay-per-views being a series of matches rather than a series of storylines being told. With that in mind, something like the Nick Wayne and CRU vs AR Fox and Top Flight Zero Hour match does nothing for me, but I liked Anthony Bowens beating Max Caster in the open challenge.

But when we talk about the main card, the most meh match I could point out would be Toni Storm against Megan Bayne, the trios title match, or the tag title match. MJF’s involvement with The Hurt Syndicate just feels weird, and I wasn’t wowed by that. Storm/Bayne just was what it was, and FTR splitting from Cope was just the outcome I was waiting to happen and not an angle that I’m particularly thrilled about exploring.

On the positives, though, I thought the International Championship match was the best of the night. Kenny Omega, Ricochet, and Mike Bailey killed it.

I also, as much as I’m not loving this Death Riders story at all, liked the hook of “Hangman” Adam Page’s involvement with the main event and the Young Bucks returning to screw Swerve Strickland. Those are way more interesting than what happens next with Jon Moxley.
