Some of WWE’s biggest stars were ticked off after competing in an infamous tag-team match at the Crown Jewel 2018 pay-per-view event.

The main event of the Saudi Arabia show saw Shawn Michaels come out of retirement to team with Triple H against The Undertaker and Kane.

With a combined age of over 200 years, the match quickly fell apart with Kane’s mask falling off and Triple H suffering a pectoral injury.

On a recent edition of his “Six Feet Under” podcast, The Undertaker recalled the reaction by the four legends after the contest. He said,

“We’re all pissed. Everybody is pissed. Shawn is pissed because he came out of retirement. [Triple H] is pissed because he tore his (pec). He had a WrestleMania match that year. [Kane] loses his mask. I lose my pride.

“I’m already filming Last Ride. It’s going to be part of the documentary. I remember them coming at me. I had to sit by myself for a minute to process what we had just done, or didn’t do. They’re coming up to me to get my thoughts. I’m like, ‘No. Just leave me alone. I need a minute. Leave me alone.’ I don’t think we ever got an interview.

“It was awful. Everybody was apologizing for everybody else. It was a complete disaster and trainwreck. It’s another example of how difficult it becomes without reps. When you’re not doing it every day.”

The bout would be Michaels’ final WWE match, and the sixth to last match for Triple H, who’d later retire from in-ring action due to a heart issue.

The Undertaker’s next appearance in Saudi Arabia would be at Super Showdown 2019 where he would have a similarly disastrous encounter with Goldberg.
