We’ve got new WWE women’s tag team champions, and it isn’t even the duo scheduled to challenge Fatal Influence tonight, as Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley defeated Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid to capture the belts on Friday Night SmackDown!
Charlotte Flair was originally scheduled to team with Paxley, but was attacked backstage by Jade Cargill.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis wouldn’t let her wrestle, so Flair convinced Bliss to take her spot, rather than to postpone the title opportunity.
Bliss and Paxley scored the win with Paxley getting a pinfall over Henley.
