WWE could soon be signing another wrestler from its rival promotion. AEW star Anthony Bowens may have a major decision to make about his wrestling future. He is reportedly approaching the final stretch of his current contract. Bowens’ deal is said to expire on October 1.

In a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that WWE has “at least some” interest in signing Bowens. The report does not suggest that a deal is close. However, the interest could become important if Bowens reaches free agency.

Bowens has been a key part of AEW’s tag team scene. He was one-half of The Acclaimed alongside Max Caster. The duo became one of the promotion’s most popular acts after gaining strong support from fans.

A WWE move would give Bowens a fresh opportunity. It could also create several interesting matchups. For now, though, his next step remains uncertain.

AEW could still look to keep Bowens under contract. WWE’s reported interest may add another option to the table. With October 1 approaching, more details about his situation could emerge soon.
