Christian Cage had a pointed message for WWE during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, using the ongoing discussion surrounding pay cuts to take a shot at WWE and its parent company, TKO.

The moment came during a heated promo involving Cage, Adam Copeland, FTR, and the Young Bucks. After reflecting on their recent victories over the Bucks and FTR, Christian turned his attention toward his opponents and questioned why they would continue competing against him and Copeland.

Cage then delivered a particularly sharp jab, referencing reports of talent in WWE being asked to accept reduced salaries. He said,

“I’m surprised the four of you aren’t more embarrassed. I’m surprised that you’re not so embarrassed that you wouldn’t consider willingly taking a 50% pay cut and going somewhere else.”

The remark served as a clear dig at the reported WWE pay reductions while simultaneously attempting to embarrass FTR and The Young Bucks during the ongoing AEW Tag Team Championship storyline.
