WWE SmackDown’s viewership took a notable hit with the August 28, 2026 episode.

The latest episode of SmackDown averaged 1.12 million viewers on the USA Network. That marks a decline from the 1.280 million viewers who tuned in for the August 21 episode.

The August 28 broadcast also posted a 0.23 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, down from the 0.32 rating recorded the previous Friday.

The episode, which was taped in Ottawa, featured several major developments, including a Triple Threat Match involving Kevin Owens, GUNTHER, and Finn Balor to determine the next challenger for CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship.
