Grayson Waller is finally a singles champion in WWE.

The 2026 NXT: Heatwave pay-per-view event closed with a Fatal 4-Way showdown for the NXT Championship, as Tony D’Angelo defended his title against Zilla Fatu, Cruz Montana, and Waller.

The championship bout featured several chaotic moments, with Waller making a major statement late in the match. Fatu was positioned on a table outside the ring, allowing Waller to climb to the top rope and deliver an elbow drop onto him.

The action eventually returned to the ring, where Montana and D’Angelo battled for control. Montana connected with his “Spin the Block” clothesline on D’Angelo, but before he could capitalize, Waller struck.

Waller hit Montana with his rolling stunner before crawling over to D’Angelo. He then made the cover and secured the three-count to become the new NXT Champion.

The victory marks the first singles championship of Waller’s WWE career. His previous championship reign came as one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions alongside Austin Theory.

Waller has now reached the top of the NXT mountain and leaves Heatwave with the biggest singles title of his career.
