Danhausen found an unexpected ally during WWE’s live event in Fairfax, Virginia on Thursday night, as Oba Femi came to his rescue after another attack from The Miz.
The former AEW standout has become a regular attraction on WWE programming and live events in recent months, and he was featured in an in-ring segment during the Fairfax house show. The appearance quickly took a turn when The Miz blindsided Danhausen from behind, continuing the issues that have developed between the two over the last several months.
Just as The Miz looked ready to inflict more punishment, the arena lights went dark. Moments later, Oba Femi made his entrance to a huge reaction, forcing The Miz to back off before stepping into the ring to stand alongside Danhausen.
The crowd responded loudly to the surprise pairing, and the segment ended on a lighthearted note as Danhausen mimicked Oba Femi’s signature pose in the middle of the ring.
