Oba Femi cemented his place at the top of WWE by defeating Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell in the main event of SummerSlam 2026 (Night One), handing “The Beast” his first-ever loss inside the unforgiving structure.
Following the match, fans witnessed an unexpected show of respect as Lesnar embraced Femi in the ring before publicly calling him the future of WWE.
Speaking at the post-show press conference, Femi admitted that he never expected the moment to unfold the way it did. He said,
“The hug and the public endorsement was definitely a swerve. I did not see that coming. I knew that deep down Brock has always respected me. He knows that deep down, I respect him as well.”
“I don’t know how I survived. The truth is this, the future is not far away. The future is now. The future is me.”
