Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Val Venis is set to step back into the ring.
ISPW will present its Legends of Wrestling Night tonight at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, New Jersey, featuring a mix of wrestling legends and current independent standouts.
Venis, who has considered himself retired from active competition, is scheduled to face former ISPW Light Heavyweight Champion Rico Gold in what will mark his return to the ring.
His most recent match took place at ISPW’s Rock N’ Wrestling event in May 2023, where he was defeated by former ISPW Heavyweight Champion Danny Morrison, who is also known to ECW fans as Danny Doring.
According to an ISPW press release, Venis will be part of a star-studded lineup that includes several former WWE names, such as Ken Shamrock, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, and Tony Atlas. Additional legends scheduled to appear include The Powers of Pain, Dan “The Beast” Severn, and The Head Bangers.
DiBiase will serve as the special guest General Manager for the event.
The Head Bangers (Mosh and Thrasher) are slated to challenge for the ISPW Tag Team Championship in a four-way match against The Now, Sent 2 Slaughter, and The Shot Callers.
ISPW Women’s Champion Sloane Jacobs, who currently competes in WWE EVOLVE, will defend her title in a triple threat match against Vicious Vicki Venuto and Tiara James. Fellow EVOLVE talent Marcus Mathers is also scheduled to compete, taking on his father, Marc Angel.
The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. local time.
