Anna Jay’s AEW Contract Extended

AEW President Tony Khan provided an update on Anna Jay during the AEW Redemption media call, confirming that the former Jericho Appreciation Society member has signed a contract extension with the company but is currently dealing with an injury.

Khan explained that he had planned to use Jay on recent shows, but those plans were put on hold after she was sidelined. He said,

“Anna is in very good standing with us. Anna is out injured right now. I was hoping to book her in recent weeks and she has an injury. Last week, she was going for an MRI. She is in good standing and has a lot of time left, she’s extended her contract with AEW. She is going to be staying in AEW.”

Jay has been out of action since the June 6 edition of AEW Collision, where she teamed with Tay Melo in a losing effort against Divine Dominion’s Lena Kross and Megan Bayne. Khan did not provide a timetable for her return but made it clear that Jay remains an important part of AEW’s future following her contract extension.
