Xelina, formerly Zelina Vega, has opened up about her miserable experience with WWE shortly before she and others were cut from the promotion this year.
A former WWE Women’s U.S. Champion, Xelina was among those released in April 2026 alongside her husband Aleister Black, the Wyatt Sicks, and others.
Speaking on her “ZELVX and Charlie Girl” podcast, Xelina recalled feeling miserable during the final throes of her second run with WWE. She said,
“A lot of people said that I look really happy and I’m like, ‘Did I just look miserable before?’ I mean, to be honest, I could see that because towards the end, I very much was miserable.”
Following her release, Xelina has been undefeated, winning a triple threat in her House of Glory debut in September and besting Myla Grace days later for PROGRESS Wrestling.
Xelina will be in action this Sunday at PROGRESS ‘When September Ends’ event in London, England, where she will face fellow WWE alum Nikki Storm.
