WWE made an effort to try and bring Saraya back to the promotion following her departure earlier this year.
Saraya, aka Paige, left WWE on July 7, after over a decade with the promotion, and made it clear at the time that this was not her decision.
One source who spoke to Fightful Select said there had been interest from WWE to bring her back under the new creative regime led by Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Saraya debuted for AEW at last night’s Grand Slam Dynamite, appearing in a segment with Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, Toni Storm, Serena Deeb, and Athena.
It was previously reported that AEW had spoken to Saraya over the summer prior to her debut.
