WWE SummerSlam Saturday 2026 Predictions? | Question Of The Day

Night 1 of WWE SummerSlam 2026 takes place today starting at 3 p.m. ET with the countdown pre-show (and the actual card starting at 6 p.m. ET)—but before that happens, let’s toss out our predictions for tonight’s matches!

My question for you today is “Who do you think will win tonight on WWE SummerSlam Saturday?”

As far as my answer…

Oba Femi absolutely has to beat Brock Lesnar. There’s no “building the future” if you never let the younger stars actually win these feuds. One win over Lesnar and two losses does not equal putting Femi on a pedestal.

As I said well before the Queen of the Ring tournament had even reached its finals, “if it comes down to Liv Morgan against Iyo Sky, then Sky is just going to beat Morgan to win the crown to set up a loss to Morgan at SummerSlam to offset that and kill 2-3 months of time.” That’s exactly what is going to happen here. Snooze.

Considering Nick Aldis is only finally wrestling his first match in WWE, I see no reason why he should beat Gunther if this is a one-off. If the feud continues past this point, though, then by all means, Gunther should take a loss to set up an even bigger chip on his shoulder that can carry the story into the next event. But since I don’t think that’s happening, and that this will be a one time thing, I’m expecting The Ring General to get the W.

WWE has downplayed the in-fighting from The Bloodline lately. Either they’ve dropped that story and Jacob Fatu is just falling in line and gave up on being his own man, or he’ll continue to not follow orders from Jimmy and Jey and his arguing with The Usos will cost them the match. Since nothing is on the line here, and there’s always still a situation where Solo Sikoa could turn and join them, I’m leaning more toward The Bloodline winning, even though I think it makes more sense for them to lose.

The Bella Twins should get a shot at winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship after this, so Nikki and Brie should pick up the win with Paige over Fatal Influence in their six-woman tag team match. That’s the only scenario that makes sense to me.

Lastly, I don’t think CM Punk is dropping the belt to Cody Rhodes. Maybe Randy Orton comes back to cost Rhodes and insert himself into the title hunt, but someone is going to get involved. Whether that’s The Viper, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Gunther, or for all we know, some random celebrity that will create an eye-roll moment, there’s little chance Punk versus Rhodes ends in a straight-up normal pinfall with no shenanigans.
