As previously reported, Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship will open today’s Night of Champions PLE from the Jeddah SuperDome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Insider account Boozer #BWE, which has broken past WWE stories, reported that the reason the match is opening the show comes down to Rollins needing to fly back to the United States as soon as possible to finish up filming for his role in the Captain America: New World Order movie.
The movie is being filmed in Atlanta, GA, and will be released on May 3, 2024. It stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, Harrison Ford, and Liv Tyler.
