During her feud with Stephanie Vaquer, Liv Morgan suffered a head injury. On the recent episode of The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, she revealed the recovery process. She said,
“So Stephanie pushed me into Roxanne, and me and Roxanne’s heads collided really hard, and I got this hematoma. And we thought it was just gonna go away, and it didn’t go away for like six or seven months. And so then I got two rounds of steroid injections in it, and the steroid injections finally made it go away, but it ate away at the fat.”
“So I had this divot in my head. I just got a fat graft. So they put me under, and they went in through my belly button and took fat out of my abdomen and injected it through my hairline into my head. And so it’s gonna take like a couple weeks for it to smooth out, and then I won’t know for like three months if I need another one because your body only retains like a certain percentage of the fat.”
“I didn’t mind the hematoma because I was like, ‘Oh, it looks like I got in a fight.’ Like, that’s cool for wrestling. But then just like in my everyday life, it was just like all I could see when I looked at myself. So I’ve just been like silently dealing with it. I remember Dominik just being like, ‘Don’t look at it. Don’t look at it.’ And then I went to go touch it, and I had already felt it from here. And I was like, ‘Holy s***.’ Like, that’s when I knew, like, it wasn’t good.”
“I finally looked, and it actually made me laugh ’cause it was so ridiculous. It looked like a cartoon. I’ve just been like silently dealing with it. So glad it’s healed for the most part. That’s probably my worst wrestling injury… if there was one that I can be like, ‘I’ll take that one away,’ it’d be that hematoma.”
