The status of a WWE Superstar is uncertain after the company removed her from the active roster.
This wrestler is Kiana James. After joining WWE in 2022, James started appearing on TV and became a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.
James was promoted from NXT to the main roster and placed on RAW after WrestleMania 40 as part of the 2024 WWE Draft. However, she has only appeared on TV a few times since then.
Pwinsider is reporting that James has been taken off WWE’s active roster after not competing since June.
Instead, James has been internally transferred to WWE’s “misc” roster.
This is typically where WWE places talent who cannot perform, whether due to injury or, in the case of someone like The Undertaker, who is seldomly used.
It’s unclear why James was moved from the active roster. Her last match was on a June episode of WWE RAW, where she competed in a Money In The Bank Qualifying match with Zelina Vega and IYO SKY.
