More WWE talent releases might be coming soon after WWE released 10 NXT stars on Friday. The next round of cuts could hit the main roster. 

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he has heard the company isn’t done with budget cuts. 

“There were 10 [NXT releases] and there’s people in the company who think that’s not it. I’ve heard rumblings about more…”

He pointed out how WWE typically likes to do the cuts around the quarterly earnings call. 

“There’s definitely people on the main roster that you could see could be [cut]. I guess the idea is to do it before the investors call, I don’t know. That seems like the idea.”

In the email sent out by WWE regarding the cuts, it was blamed on budget cuts and the door was open for more down the road.
