WWE Hall of Famer and former President of the United States, Donald Trump, has been indicted by a grand jury in Manhattan, New York.
On Thursday, a grand jury unanimously voted to indict Trump on at least 30 charges which include paying hush-money to adult film star Stormy Daniels just prior to the 2016 election.
With the indictment, Trump is expected to appear in New York City court next week to be arraigned on the charges. This will likely result in the former President providing fingerprints, taking a mugshot, and being given a future court date. As of this writing, there is no word on if he’ll be handcuffed as is often the case when people turn themselves in.
For now, the indictment from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg remains sealed. It’ll likely become public next week.
For what it’s worth, no President in the history of the United States has been indicted on criminal charges until now.
Donald Trump was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. He also worked a storyline with Vince McMahon, Umaga, and Bobby Lashley, which resulted in McMahon getting his head shaved at WrestleMania 23.
McMahon, who is close friends with Donald Trump and has made numerous donations to the latter’s campaign funds, stepped down from WWE in 2022 due to paying hush-money payments to several individuals he allegedly had sexual affairs with. Vince later returned as Executive Chairman of the Board in January of this year.
