WWE has announced that this past Saturday’s Backlash is the highest-grossing and most-viewed Backlash in company history. The premium live event took place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Viewership saw a 28 percent increase over the record set last year. The event featured Bad Bunny, the most-streamed music artist in the world, defeating Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight, as well as Cody Rhodes victorious over Brock Lesnar.
It was the largest gate ever for any WWE event held in Puerto Rico and the largest gate in the history of Backlash.
San Juan, Puerto Rico attracted 16,896 fans to SmackDown the night before Backlash, while Backlash itself produced 17,944 attendees.
