WWE NXT evoked nostalgia for numerous fans when it took place last week at the former home of ECW, the 2300 Arena.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that no one within the company has taken credit for the concept.

Moreover, WWE’s plans to host the event have been in the works for some time and are not specifically scheduled for November 8, as they always planned to utilize the arena.

The report states, “It was just an idea to do at some point. Then, when they realized that they would be going head-to-head with AEW on 11/8, the decision was made to play that card on that night. There’s now talk about making it an annual thing, which makes sense as when it comes to TV, different locations that are unique are a good thing.”
