Torrie Wilson joined WWE in 2001 after the demise of WCW and remained with WWE for seven years before her departure in May 2008.
At the time, WWE gave a short statement on WWE.com, confirming Wilson’s exit while wishing her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
Now, though, over 18 years later, WWE gave an update, with the announcement now appearing as if it were posted just a few minutes ago.
Wilson’s final match for WWE prior to her May 2008 release took place in November 2007, when she bested Victoria on WWE SmackDown.
Following her release, Wilson has made several one-off returns, including in two Women’s Royal Rumble matches and two battle royals.
