Will Either Women’s Title Change Hands Tonight On RAW? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

On tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, Lyra Valkyria is set to defend the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Dakota Kai, and Bianca Belair & Naomi will defend the Women’s Tag Team Championship against Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez.

My question for you today is “Do you think we’ll be crowning any new champions tonight?”

As far as my answer…

I can’t imagine any real thought process for Dakota Kai winning the Women’s IC title after being the runner-up in the tournament who Lyra Valkyria beat in the first place. If they wanted Kai to be champion, she should have just won it then. Plus, why set up all of the Ivy Nile stuff just to sideline her?

My guess is they decided they wanted to stall for a few more weeks (typical in WWE, dragging things out to an unnecessary length) so they figured hitting the rewind button would be better than simply doing Nile vs Valkyria and then having no idea what else to do.

With that in mind, it wouldn’t shock me if Nile interferes in this match, setting up a Triple Threat in the future, rather than a one-on-one between Nile and Valkyria. But in any fashion, I think Lyra’s still walking out of Raw champion.

I can’t say the same for Bianca Belair and Naomi, who I do think are dropping the titles tonight.

Belair and Naomi are in the Elimination Chamber. At some point, Jade Cargill needs to come back and pick up the pieces for this storyline about her attack, which has been very sloppy. There’s no room for the three of them to all be holding the tag titles, so unless Jade suddenly doesn’t care about that whatsoever and goes after someone else (like Chelsea Green) and leaves Belair and Naomi as tag team champions, then where do they go from there?

Lots of people are suspicious that it’ll be revealed Naomi was the attacker, setting up a match between her and Jade. If that’s the case, that could even more so point to Belair being the possible winner of the Elimination Chamber and facing Rhea Ripley. Both scenarios pretty much require the tag titles to go elsewhere, and there’s no better option right now out there than Morgan and Rodriguez, who could easily walk into Mania as champions and defend against some multi-team contingent.

I’m banking on the tag titles switching hands, but the intercontinental staying where it’s put. What about you? Drop your predictions in the comments below!
