Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!
Starting with a pre-show at 5 p.m. ET tonight with a main card at 7 p.m. is the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber premium live event. Be sure to check back in later on for live coverage of the results for the pay-per-view, but in the meantime, we still have a few more hours to get in one last round of predictions!
My question for you today is “Who are your picks for all the match winners for WWE Elimination Chamber 2025?”
Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.
As far as my answer…
It’s not a match, but as far as the whole promo between The Rock and Cody Rhodes is concerned, I’m fully expecting that to eat up 45 minutes of time just to have The Rock essentially repeat “be my champion” 100 times and Rhodes to drag out a “no.” Then, The Rock will say something akin to “This disappoints me, and you’re going to feel the repercussions of your decision. Actions have consequences.” Then, the commentary team will do the whole WhAt DoEs ThAt MeAn? thing and act like it’s the most compelling thing ever for a few weeks.
There’s no reason Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus should lose to Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. Absolutely no reason at all. Trish is there because it’s Toronto, Stratton is walking into WrestleMania as champion and can’t have her credibility tarnished, and it’s not like LeRae (who I love, mind you, and think is underutilized) has any real stock to her where she can’t take the pin. Jax arguably should to finish off the feud with Stratton, but I think they’ll keep Jax away from the loss so she can stay in the title hunt for post-Mania.
I fully expect Randy Orton to interfere in the Unsanctioned Match. Either he does so and hits an RKO on Kevin Owens to cost him the win, so Sami Zayn can walk out bruised, but not beaten, or Owens gets the win and continues to beat down on Zayn until Orton makes the save. The latter is only a good option if WWE is undervaluing Zayn heading into WrestleMania (which I hope isn’t the case, but seriously, what is he going to do? Fight Karrion Kross in a match not worthy of being on the card?) while the former isn’t what I would have booked to begin with either, but at least it gives Owens an out to go back to feuding with Orton. Otherwise, I don’t see how they can do Owens vs. Zayn again at WrestleMania if this is already an endgame type of match.
The Women’s Elimination Chamber match ultimately boils down to me to Bianca Belair. There’s a chance it’s Alexa Bliss, sure, but it’s not a large number by any means. Frankly, I don’t think WWE has done anyone any service by having zero set up for Rhea Ripley, and they should have put the title on her much sooner so she could have been working toward a feud beforehand. They’re probably banking on Belair/Ripley just being a great match and something that sells itself on principle alone, but I hate when they cop out like that. Belair dropping the tag titles, though, sealed the deal for me that she’s winning this.
Lastly, the Men’s Elimination Chamber match is basically a two-horse race of “If it isn’t John Cena, then I guess it’s CM Punk.” I fully expect Cena to win, though. Punk has too many options on the table—even if I wouldn’t have chosen to put him against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins OR Logan Paul—while Cena has nothing else set up. Rollins should be taken out of the match by Reigns interfering, or maybe just straight-up losing to Cena. I’d like to see Rollins take out Punk to even those odds a bit from losing on January 6th. I’m also really hoping there’s a better plan in mind for Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest other than just Priest pins McIntyre here and that’s the most simplistic, easiest way to start a program between those two.
