Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Last night on AEW Dynamite, Ricochet said that he’s been looking around the roster and realized that he needs to be in a group. Specifically, he mentioned recruiting a “crew”, dropping as much of a hint as possible that he’ll be joined by C.R.U. and have Lio Rush and Action Andretti by his side.

But let’s just assume he recruits more members than that, or that that is a red herring and he ends up creating a faction with different people.

My question for you today is “Who should be part of Ricochet’s group in AEW?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Obviously, as I’ve stated, I think Andretti and Rush are essentially guaranteed. I’m not opposed to that at all. However, I do think there’s a gap here, where having Ricochet and two other high-flying flippy guys leaves room for some muscle.

After all, C.R.U. should serve as the tag team, rather than either of them being in contention for one of the midcard titles and the #2 in command of the group underneath Ricochet. They should be on equal footing. Think of it like Triple H at the helm of DX, X-Pac as the midcarder, and The New Age Outlaws as the tag team.

As far as candidates for the muscle, there aren’t a lot of options. Many of the big guys on the roster are busy filling that role elsewhere, like Lance Archer, Big Bill, The Beast Mortos, and so on.

If Keith Lee were healthy, I would slot him in the role, but that doesn’t seem likely any time soon, unfortunately. Wardlow doesn’t seem like a fit. I can’t see Bronson being put in this position. Effectively, I think AEW would need to look elsewhere.

As much as I want to see Dijak in AEW, and I can think of a few people like Hammerstone who could fill that spot in other teams, I don’t think those two would fit in this particular stable.

Strangely, when thinking of free agents, my brain went to No Way Jose, but he apparently hasn’t wrestled in a year and has no momentum. So what about Ace Romero? He could be an interesting addition to the roster and brought in specifically to be their big man.

If it’s just Ricochet, Rush, and Andretti, that’s not the end of the world, but my brain would start thinking of them as a trios squad of Ricochet plus two enhancement guys flanking him rather than a faction with more steam behind them. Maybe that’s just me.

What do you think? Drop your thoughts below!
