What Happened At The Very First Control Your Narrative Event?

No chairs for fans, a “space cowboy,” and a reference to AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page were all part of the first Control Your Narrative event last night.

Control Your Narrative is the new promotion by EC3 and Adam Scherr which will have its first taping later this month.

On Reddit, user ‘u/SemiGodMountFuji’ gave a detailed recollection of their experience from the show:

Fuji notes that the show started with the National Anthem but there were no seats for the crowd at the show.

The audience was instructed to keep the show family-friendly, with winners being announced as having “controlled his narrative.”

Developmental talents were referred to as “projects” and surrounded the ring in a “fight club style.”

When action went out of the ring, the projects were tasked with throwing them back in the ring.

Austin Aries confronted ‘Space Cowboy’ during one segment and asked where he got his “starter kit Adam Page cosplay outfit.”

Aries added that he’d have to carve seven inches off his legs to match the reigning AEW World Champion, prompting someone in the audience to yell “and two inches off your d**k.”

The main event saw EC3 and dam Scherr defeat The Righteous Batmen and Vincent.

Adam Scherr ended the show saying “this is the first of many, and we will make people watch, love and respect professional wrestling.”

On social media, tweets spread about the event, with many noting that the event happened in a bar which also featured an Uncle Kracker cover band.

A full recap of the event, including spoilers for all matches, can be found here.
