Were WWE’s Original WrestleMania 41 Plans Better? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

While watching the teaser for the upcoming Netflix series WWE Unreal, viewers were able to scoop out a whiteboard in the background of a shot with matches listed for WrestleMania that never happened.

While the bottom two lines aren’t legible, the others have been deciphered as The Wyatt Sicks vs. The Judgment Day, Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax instead of Charlotte Flair vs. Tiffany Stratton, an option for Gunther to face Seth Rollins and CM Punk, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch against Damage CTRL for the tag titles, no Iyo Sky in the Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair match, Bron Breakker vs Drew McIntyre, Bad Bunny vs Dominik Mysterio, and that Travis Scott would accompany Rey Mysterio against Chad Gable.

My question for you today is “Would you have preferred any of these matches to what we got at WrestleMania 41?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

While I’m not particularly in love with this year’s WrestleMania as being some over the top amazing show, I don’t think this lineup would have been any better. Frankly, I think it overall disappoints more.

The Wyatt Sicks against The Judgment Day wouldn’t have been a good match, and I don’t even think it would have been a good storyline leading up to it.

One that I would say I could agree to is that I don’t like the Travis Scott stuff we got, so maybe that would have been better for him to just accompany Rey and basically not exist. Another would be the women’s tag title match, as the only real interesting thing about the Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs Bayley/Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria match was the switch to Becky and just the very idea Liv got onto the card, as she’s great, but I’m curious how they would have teamed up Flair and Lynch, so that would overtake it. Plus, that means Flair wouldn’t have taken up the world title scene. Granted, I wouldn’t have wanted Cargill against Jax, so I’d have to hope to change that to something else instead. I don’t think that’s negotiable in this fantasy scenario, is it?

What I’d much rather do is go back in time to the morning after WrestleMania 40 and be able to tell them how much The Rock would throw things for a loop so they wouldn’t spend the year building up to his involvement just to do none of that sort.
