Sammy Guevara is set to commentate at the upcoming Global Titans boxing event, but the promoters have bigger things planned for the AEW star.

On Twitter, Guevara confirmed that he will be serving as a commentator and backstage interviewer for the event, which will feature AEW alum Bobby Fish.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reports that the show’s promoters have hopes for Guevara to become a celebrity fighter for them.

His appearance at the November 13, event would lead to a shoot boxing match down the line, potentially against someone with experience in the field.

Tony Khan has allowed wrestlers to compete elsewhere in the past, but the AEW President has not commented publicly on the matter at this time.

Guevara has no shoot-fighting experience but was recently involved in an altercation backstage with Andrade El Idolo.
