During a recent virtual signing event hosted by Signed By Superstars, Matt Riddle claimed Brock Lesnar went into business for himself during the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble and changed the match finish. Riddle believed he was supposed to win the bout.

Additionally, Riddle revealed that he was initially supposed to win the 2022 Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match, but the decision was changed last minute by Vince McMahon, resulting in Austin Theory winning instead.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, although Riddle was not originally planned to win the Money in the Bank Ladder match, he was considered as one of the top contenders. However, when it came to the Royal Rumble, Meltzer mentioned that Riddle was not seriously taken into consideration as a potential winner.
