Signing Bronson Reed was a priority for Triple H ahead of the Australian’s WWE return this week.

During this week’s RAW, Reed returned to aid The Miz in his winner takes all ladder match with Dexter Lumis.

Fightful Select reports that Reed was being seen as a priority for Triple H after the latter’s rise to Head of Talent Relations in July of this year.

The former NXT North American Champion was released in August 2021, and it was reported that he did not fit in with Vince McMahon’s vision of NXT 2.0.

It was also confirmed that Reed is under contract with WWE and is done with NJPW, unless a deal is later brokered between the two sides.

One source told Fightful that it “wasn’t an accident” that Reed had not wrestled for the last couple of months.

While Reed’s return was not telegraphed internally on WWE run sheets ahead of RAW, talent had gained word that he would be returning to the company.

Reed had been trying to hide his WWE return on social media and had been pitching matches for Wrestle Kingdom to throw fans off the scent.
