AEW Dynamite’s Beach Break special featured a moment that caught fans’ attention when Konosuke Takeshita paid homage to a signature entrance taunt made famous by Triple H.

During his AEW International Championship defense against Kyle Fletcher, Takeshita attempted Triple H’s iconic water-spitting entrance routine. While he successfully sprayed the water into the air, he used it all on the first attempt and had nothing left for the trademark second mist toward the crowd. Instead, the Japanese star let out a loud scream, creating an unintentionally humorous version of the legendary WWE entrance.

The lighthearted moment came before an emotional championship clash between two former allies. Fletcher challenged Takeshita after turning against him following Takeshita’s departure from the Don Callis Family, setting the stage for a deeply personal encounter.

Despite a determined performance from the champion, Fletcher came out on top to capture the AEW International Championship. The victory ended Takeshita’s 46-day reign and marked another major accomplishment for the 27-year-old.

Following the match, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley entered the ring to interview the new champion alongside Don Callis. When asked what it meant to defeat his former friend for the championship, Fletcher dismissed the idea that the two had ever been close.
