During the post-AEW Revolution media scrum, Swerve Strickland revealed that he suffered a ruptured eardrum.
Despite the injury, he successfully defeated Ricochet at the pay-per-view event to become the No. 1 Contender for the AEW World Title.
After the match, Swerve made a dramatic move by jumping off a balcony and delivering a double stomp to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and a group of security.
