Top AEW Star Vanishes From SiriusXM After WWE Takeover

AEW personalities could soon lose their spot on SiriusXM’s wrestling programming now that WWE has taken over the platform with its new WWE Radio channel.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Thunder Rosa, who used to appear regularly on Busted Open, is missing from every WWE Radio announcement, and people close to the situation believe she is no longer part of the show.

Since the new lineup falls under WWE’s control, Meltzer explained that it would be nearly impossible for the company to keep an AEW talent involved.

This may also explain why Jim Ross recently criticized Busted Open for focusing too heavily on WWE instead of covering the wider wrestling world, since the hosts were likely already aware that this deal was coming.

WWE Radio will include live coverage of Premium Live Events, simulcasts of RAW, SmackDown and NXT, along with podcasts hosted by stars such as Booker T, Natalya, Cody Rhodes and The Undertaker.

If this trend continues, Thunder Rosa’s exit might just be the beginning of AEW talent being phased out of SiriusXM entirely.
